Description

This Italian Chopped Salad combines crisp vegetables, savory beef strips, and zesty Italian dressing for a hearty, refreshing dish that’s easy to prepare and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup cucumbers, diced
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup beef strips
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Add chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, green bell pepper, cucumbers, black olives, and red onion to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Grill or pan-cook the beef strips until browned and cooked through. Let rest briefly, then add to the salad.
  3. Pour Italian dressing over the mixture and toss well until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Serve immediately or chill briefly to let the flavors meld.

Notes

  • For best texture, add dressing just before serving if prepping ahead.
  • Swap beef for grilled chicken, tofu, or chickpeas for variation.
  • Optional toppings: avocado slices, radishes, shredded cheese, or apple slices for extra crunch or sweetness.
  • This salad is best enjoyed fresh and served chilled.
