Soft and buttery cinnamon rolls made with Hawaiian sweet rolls, layered with a cinnamon-sugar filling and creamy cheesecake-like center, then finished with a sweet glaze for an easy indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 225 g cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally as one slab and place the bottom half in the dish.
- Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then spread evenly over the rolls.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cinnamon layer.
- Place the top half of the rolls back on.
- Optionally brush with extra melted butter.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and warmed through.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.
- Serve warm.

- Do not separate rolls before slicing for easier assembly.
- Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps.
- Add nuts or fruit for extra flavor and texture.
- Refrigerate leftovers due to cream cheese filling.
