Description
These classic Magic Cookie Bars from Eagle Brand combine layers of graham cracker crust, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts into a chewy, crunchy, and satisfying dessert bar that’s both easy to make and endlessly customizable.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips, flaked coconut, and chopped nuts in even layers over the milk.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is lightly golden and edges are set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Substitute different chips (white chocolate, butterscotch, or peanut butter) for variety.
- To make nut-free, simply omit the nuts or replace with extra coconut or seeds.
- Use crushed chocolate cookies instead of graham crackers for a richer flavor.
