Ingredients
2 slices sandwich bread (sourdough recommended)
2 slices provolone (or cheese of choice)
A handful of fresh basil leaves
1/2 ripe avocado
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
Pinch of flaky salt (such as Maldon)
Instructions
- Toast bread until golden brown and crisp.
- While warm, place cheese slices on top of the bread.
- Layer fresh basil leaves over the cheese.
- Slice avocado and spread or fan it over the basil.
- Top with thin slices of tomato, covering the surface.
- Finish with a sprinkle of flaky salt. Serve immediately.
