Description

Oven Baked Potato Slices are crispy, golden rounds of potatoes seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika, and Parmesan cheese, then baked until perfectly tender inside and crunchy outside. They make a delicious snack, appetizer, or side dish with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium yellow potatoes, scrubbed and sliced into thin rounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly without peeling them. Slice them into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Place the potato slices in a large bowl and toss them with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss again to coat the slices evenly with seasoning.
  5. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they do not overlap.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the slices.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through cooking.
  8. Continue baking until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy around the edges.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure the potato slices are arranged in a single layer for maximum crispiness.
  • Dry the potato slices before adding oil to help them crisp better.
  • You can add chili flakes or cayenne pepper for a spicy variation.
  • Try adding dried herbs such as oregano or thyme for extra flavor.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
