Panna Cotta Eyeballs are spooky, creamy Halloween treats made from smooth vanilla panna cotta and decorated to resemble eerie eyeballs. These festive, no-bake desserts are both delicious and visually striking, making them perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons gelatin powder
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (red and green, optional)
- Edible candy eyes (for decoration)
- Fresh berries or fruit puree (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl. Let bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
- Remove from heat. Stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Add vanilla extract and food coloring if desired.
- Pour mixture into silicone eyeball molds or small cups.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
- Unmold panna cotta and decorate with fruit puree and candy eyes. Optional: drizzle red puree to create a “bloody” effect.
Notes
- Use chocolate shavings or colored sugar if candy eyes are unavailable.
- For dairy-free, use coconut cream and almond milk.
- Add almond or chocolate extract for flavor variation.
- Include a splash of liqueur for an adult version.
- Freeze up to 2 months; thaw in fridge overnight before serving.
