Description

Panna Cotta Eyeballs are spooky, creamy Halloween treats made from smooth vanilla panna cotta and decorated to resemble eerie eyeballs. These festive, no-bake desserts are both delicious and visually striking, making them perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (red and green, optional)
  • Edible candy eyes (for decoration)
  • Fresh berries or fruit puree (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl. Let bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, heat cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Add vanilla extract and food coloring if desired.
  5. Pour mixture into silicone eyeball molds or small cups.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  7. Unmold panna cotta and decorate with fruit puree and candy eyes. Optional: drizzle red puree to create a “bloody” effect.

Notes

  • Use chocolate shavings or colored sugar if candy eyes are unavailable.
  • For dairy-free, use coconut cream and almond milk.
  • Add almond or chocolate extract for flavor variation.
  • Include a splash of liqueur for an adult version.
  • Freeze up to 2 months; thaw in fridge overnight before serving.
