Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix butter, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Spread butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place 4 slices of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
- Spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered sides, then add mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni.
- Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

- Add veggies like olives, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use a blend of mozzarella and provolone for a cheesier sandwich.
- Sourdough or Italian bread adds extra texture and flavor.
