Thick, chewy cookie bars loaded with rich chocolate chips and crunchy Reese’s Pieces candies. These easy one-pan treats combine classic chocolate chip cookie flavor with sweet peanut butter crunch for the perfect crowd-pleasing dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups (315 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (200 g) Reese’s Pieces candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips and Reese’s Pieces evenly throughout the dough.
- Spread dough evenly into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Do not overbake to maintain a soft and chewy center.
- Allow bars to cool fully before slicing for clean cuts.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 4 days.
- Wrap individually and freeze up to 3 months.
- Reduce added salt to 1/4 teaspoon if using salted butter.
