Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (150–180 g each)
- 1 cup sour cream (240 ml)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (100–120 g)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (28 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a baking dish.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to baking dish.
- Mix sour cream with ranch seasoning until smooth.
- Spread mixture evenly over chicken.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Searing adds extra flavor but can be skipped if needed.
- Use a mix of cheeses for more depth.
- Add vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms for variation.
- Cover when reheating to keep chicken moist.
- Greek yogurt can replace sour cream for a lighter version.
