Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Bisquick mix
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a pie dish.
- Heat the oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and ground beef, cooking until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Season with salt and black pepper, then drain excess fat.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared pie dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- In a bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
