Description
This quick and flavorful Steak and Shrimp Stir Fry features tender seared steak, juicy shrimp, and crisp veggies tossed in a savory soy-garlic sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s satisfying, versatile, and ready in just 35 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (plus more for finishing)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch. Add steak and shrimp; marinate for 15–20 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes until pink; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot for 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cook 1 minute.
- Return steak and shrimp to pan. Add a splash of soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir to coat and heat through.
- Top with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

- Customize with other vegetables like snap peas or mushrooms.
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
