Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Strawberry sauce or jam for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the finely chopped strawberries.
  3. Lay out wonton wrappers and place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each.
  4. Brush edges with beaten egg, then fold into triangles or small pouches, sealing tightly.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry wontons in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
