Description

Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For the topping:
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing into a dough.
  3. Knead dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  5. Roll out dough and place on a baking tray or pizza stone.
  6. Mix ricotta, garlic, olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread ricotta mixture over the dough.
  8. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve warm.
