Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 6 boneless chicken chops
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, sea salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth.
- Pat the chicken chops dry with paper towels.
- Dip each chicken chop into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Press the chicken into the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the coated chicken chops into the hot oil without overcrowding the pan.
- Fry for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Transfer cooked chops to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use buttermilk instead of milk for extra flavor and tenderness.
- Do not overcrowd the skillet to keep the coating crispy.
- The chicken is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best crispiness.
- Add cayenne pepper or parmesan cheese for extra flavor variations.
