Description

A quick and flavorful chicken dish made with tender pieces cooked in a vibrant green chutney, garlic, ginger, and green chillies for a fresh and mildly spicy meal.


Ingredients

  • 250 g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2–3 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 cup green chutney
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients and cut chicken into small, even pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped ginger and garlic; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped green chillies and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add chicken pieces and stir to coat with aromatics.
  6. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken turns white and slightly golden.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper; mix well.
  8. Add green chutney and stir to coat chicken evenly.
  9. Lower heat and simmer for 5–8 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Add fresh coriander leaves and cook for another minute.
  11. Turn off heat and let rest briefly before serving.
  12. Serve hot with rice, naan, or roti.

  • Add yogurt or cream for a richer version.
  • Grill chicken slightly beforehand for a smoky flavor.
