Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter (for glaze)
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons evaporated milk
Instructions
- Warm milk slightly and mix in yeast. Let sit until foamy.
- In a bowl, combine eggs, melted butter, sugar, salt, and part of the flour.
- Add yeast mixture and mix until dough forms.
- Knead until smooth and slightly sticky.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
- Punch down dough and roll out on a floured surface.
- Cut into doughnut shapes and place on a tray.
- Let rise again until puffy.
- Preheat air fryer and lightly grease basket.
- Cook doughnuts in a single layer, flipping halfway, until golden.
- Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Dip slightly cooled doughnuts in glaze and let set on a rack.
