Description

This Homemade Stromboli is filled with layers of savory Italian-style meats, melted cheese, and seasonings wrapped inside golden crispy pizza dough for an easy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 pounds pizza dough
  • 1/4 pound sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 pound sliced capicola
  • 1/4 pound sliced Genoa salami
  • 1/4 pound sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pizza seasoning, divided
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and lightly grease a baking sheet or sprinkle it with cornmeal.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the pizza dough into a 13×9-inch rectangle.
  3. Layer the pepperoni evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Add the provolone cheese, capicola, mozzarella cheese, and salami evenly across the dough.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder and 1 teaspoon pizza seasoning over the filling.
  6. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough jelly-roll style while tucking in the ends.
  7. Seal the edge and place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and remaining pizza seasoning.
  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Allow the stromboli to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
  11. Serve warm with pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
